2ῶνος δευτέραι μ̣ετ᾽ εἰκάδας· ἐκκλησί<α>

4εἶπεν· ἐπειδὴ Ἀ̣λέξανδρ̣ος εὔχρηστον
5ἑαυτὸν παρασκευάζει καὶ κοινεῖ καὶ ἰδί–
6αι τοῖς ἐντυνχάνουσιν τῶν πολιτῶν,
7ἀγαθεῖ τύχει, δεδόχθαι τεῖ βουλεῖ· τοὺς
8λαχόντας προέδρους εἰς τὴν ἐπιοῦ–
9σαν ἐ̣κκλησίαν χρηματίσαι περὶ τού–
10των̣, γνώμην δὲ ξυνβάλλεσθαι τῆς
11β̣[ο]υλῆς εἰς τὸν δῆμον, ὅτι δοκεῖ τεῖ βου–
12λ̣εῖ ἐπαινέσαι Ἀλέξανδρον Καλλιv–
13στράτου Θετταλὸν κα̣ὶ στεφανῶσαι v
14θαλλοῦ στεφάνωι, δίδοσθαι δὲ αὐτῶι
15καὶ πολιτείαν δοκιμασθέντι ἐν τῶι
16δικαστηρίωι κατὰ τοὺς νόμους· τοὺς
17δὲ θεσμοθέτας, ὅταν καὶ ὣς πληρῶσιν
18δικαστήριον εἰς ἕνα̣ καὶ πεντακοσίου̣ς
19δικαστάς, εἰσαγαγεῖν τὴν δοκιμασίαν
20συννείμαντας καὶ [δ]οῦναι περὶ [αὐ]τοῦ
21τὴν ψῆφον καὶ μὴ π[αρόντος καὶ γράψασ]–

4stellte den Antrag: Da Alexandros sich nützlich
5erweist sowohl im allgemeinen als auch speziell
6den ihn aufsuchenden Bürgern,
7zu Glück und Heil!, wolle beschließen der Rat:
8dass die erlosten Vorsitzenden für die kommende
9Volksversammlung hierüber verhandeln lassen
10und die Beschlussvorlage des Rates
11in die Volksversammlung einbringen, wonach der Rat es für
12gut befindet, dass man belobige Alexandros S.d. Kalli-
13stratos aus Thessalien und bekränze
14mit einem Olivenkranz; dass man ihm gebe auch
15das Bürgerrecht nach Überprüfung
16in dem Gerichtshof gemäß dem Gesetz; dass die
17Thesmotheten, sobald und wenn sie den
18Gerichtshof auf fünfundert und einen Richter
19aufgefüllt haben, zusammen die Prüfung
20einleiten und über ihn, auch wenn
21er nicht anwesend ist, abstimmen lassen und
22in einschreiben und Phyle und Demos und Phratrie,
23die er will; - - -

4proposed: since Alexandros makes
5himself useful both collectively and individually
6to those citizens who encounter him,
7for good fortune, the Council shall decide that
8the presiding committee allotted to preside at the
9forthcoming Assembly shall put these matters on the agenda,
10and submit the opinion of the
11Council to the People that it seems good to the
12Council to praise Alexandros son of Kalli-
13stratos of Thessaly and to crown him
14with a foliage crown; and that he should also be given
15citizenship, when he has been scrutinised in
16court according to the laws; and the
17court presidents, as and when they fill
18the court with five hundred and one
19jurors, shall co-operate to introduce the
20scrutiny, and shall put him to
21the vote, even if he is not present; and shall enroll
22him in the tribe, deme and phratry
